Main Features

Virtual Lockers

Converts pre-determined disk space into encrypted files (virtual safes), enabling multiple virtual locker creation and operation within local and external hard disk drives, as well as on portable storage devices such as USB flash disks.

Data Security

Adds effective security layers, locks computers and prevents unauthorized access to data with a strong authentication system and optional data encryption algorithm.

Strong Data Encryption

Data stored in virtual lockers is encrypted 'on-the-fly' with an industry standard encryption algorithm. Accessing the encrypted data is only possible by authorized persons by plugging in a personal coded USB key ("what you have") and/or typing a secret password ("what you know").

Easy Accessing and Working With Encrypted Data

Accessing and working with data stored in virtual lockers is just like working with a regular flash disk (Disk-On-Key). By plugging in a personal USB key and/or typing a personal password, the locker instantly opens. Unplugging the key, automatically locks and hides all virtual lockers.

Rescue Algorithm

Radix kSafe includes a unique rescue mechanism, enabling authorized access in case of a lost key or forgotten password, with the simultaneous use of two independent keys. Virtual safe files are used like regular files that can be securely stored, saved, backed up, or attached to an e-mail message.

Working with kSafe is similar to working with a regular flash disk (Disk-On-Key).

By plugging in a USB key or alternately hitting a hot-key combination – the user mounts a virtual drive (open the virtual locker) and can work with it like a regular drive.
Unplugging the key, or clicking on an icon, instantly dismounts the virtual drives (close the virtual locker).

Files stored in a virtual locker are constantly encrypted, even when the locker is open. New files are automatically encrypted 'on-the-fly' when stored in the locker. Virtual lockers can be securely stored, saved, backed up, attached to an e-mail message, and are fully compatible with Radix Reload's instant recovery system.

How does it work?

Radix kSafe converts pre-determined disk sectors into encrypted files (a 'virtual locker'). Opening a locker or using the files stored in it, is only possible by plugging in a personal coded USB key ("what you have") and/or typing a secret password ("what you know").

Unplugging the USB key, instantly and automatically locks all open virtual lockers and hides the content.

Lost key recovery

For extra protection, Radix kSafe system does not include 'back doors'. Opening a virtual locker in case of a lost key or forgotten password requires using two keys simultaneously:

• Backup Key – backup password (saved by the user during safe creation)
• Gate Key – a one-time code received from the help desk center after user's authorization verification process
