The server system requirement depends on the number of agents connected to the system. Generally, for up to 500 machines, a simple Core2 Duo with 3GB RAM and 20GB disk space will be sufficient.
Netpoint Manager Server is an "out of the box" appliance, fully equipped with every necessary component to function.
Server installation can be done on a:
Server installation files are ".iso" packages, download the latest iso file to proceed. In order to install from a CD, burn the ISO file and create a bootable CD-ROM. In order to install on a virtual machine, attach the ISO file to a virtual machine and boot the VM.
The installation process will start automatically.

Select the specified item from the boot menu.

Select Guided installation and use the entire disk - recommended.
|
Confirm the suggested HDD partition structure
|

Installation process will begine
|
Set the appliance root password (the server password, not the remote console password)
|
|
Select Yes to reboot. Remove the CD or disconnect the ISO from the VM
|
|
Netpoit Manager appliance will boot automatically and continue to the second part of the installatoin process
|
Select the Time Zone
|
|
Set the server host name
|
Select Primary server for the main server and Node server if it is a secondary server
|
|
Auto configuration process will begine
|
Fill in the Server registration information (use the up and down arrow key to skip fields)
|
|
Set the relevant Proxy and Time server information if relevant (use the up and down arrow key to skip fields)
|
Enable remote support Channel connection - Recommended
|
|
Set the Administrator Console GUI Login password
|
Server installation is completed and you may connect Agents and Consoles. The summary screen will hint for relevant login info.
